- As unions of central govt employees were going on Nation Wide Strike in July 2016 because all govt employees and pensioners were unhappy from the implementation of 7th pay commission. But then Assurance was given by Cabinet Ministers Arun Jaitly and Rajnath Singh that the demands of central govt employees and pensioners will be settled very shortly. So the Employees Unions called Off the Nation Wide Strike in July 2016. But so many months have been passed but no announcement has been made regarding this. Recently in a Lok Sabha question Reply, Minister of state of finance has said that govt has no planning of increasing the basic Pay & Fitment Factor beyond the recommendations of 7th pay commission i.e Rs.21000/- & 2.57 respectively.
- All the Central Govt Employees are demanding the Minimum Pay of Rs.26000 & Fitment factor of 3.68 so that they can cope up with the rising inflation. Today All eyes are on PM Modi whether He is going to announce increase in fitment factor & minimum pay or not. As per a lot of Media reports even from leading news agencies i.e. Zee News, India News, Janstta etc this news of increment has been spread from a couples of month ago. Till then all the central govt employees & Pensioners are waiting for the day i.e. 15 August 2018 Independence day Of India.
- If the Demands are not met then Employees & Pensioners associations has already declared Nation Wide Strike on 15 November 2018. Before that a series of agitations are on Progress. On 05 September 2018 a Huge ”March to Parliament” will be launched in which lakhs of Central, State Govt Employees & Pensioners are going to take part. Govt employees & Pensioners are angry on the Anti Employees attitude of BJP govt as a lots of steps are taken in the disadvantage of govt employees & pensioners. NPS issue, Pension option 1, Allowances not implementing from Jan2016, limiting 5% reservation to Compassionate appointment etc has caused a lot of discontentment in govt employees & pensioners.
Now hope is of today 15 August 2018 after that employees & pensioners have no other option for going on Nation wide strike on 15 November 2018 & March to Parliament on 05 September 2018.
